1953 Flxible Twin Coach

Seen in Chicago on State Street at Wacker Drive, probably when new. These buses were fueled by liquefied petroleum gas (propane). Chicago was one of the largest users of propane buses, with a fleet of 1,700, built by such companies as Fageol Twin Coach, Flxible, Mack, and ACF-Brill between 1950 and 1962.
