National Front in France tops opinion poll for the European elections

According to this article, the Front National got 24% of those asked in an Ifop survey for Paris Match et Fiducial. The UMP is in second place with 22.5% ahead of the Parti Socialiste (20%) and the Centrist lists of the UDI and the MoDem (10%).

The Front National is best known for its anti-Muslim immigration stance, but it also doesn't like the European Union.

Another opinion poll has current President François Hollande failing to make the second round of the presidential elections, if held today. According to an OpinionWay survey for Le Figaro and LCI, Hollande would get only 19% to 29% for Nicolas Sarkozy, with Marine Le Pen, leader of the Front National, getting 25%.
