George Westinghouse Memorial Bridge, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Located in in East Pittsburgh, this carries U.S. 30, the Lincoln Highway, over the Turtle Creek Valley where it joins the Monongahela River Valley. Its total length is 1,598 feet (487 metres) comprising five spans of which the longest, the central span, is 460 feet (140 metres), with the deck height 240 feet (73 metres) above the valley floor. When opened in September 1932 it was the world's longest concrete arch span structure and was named for George Westinghouse (1846–1914), the American entrepreneur and engineer. Nearby was the famous Westinghouse Electric Corporation East Pittsburgh Works, which is now an industrial park. More here
