by the CdF du Midi to Amélie-les-Bains, France

This line from Elne in the south-west corner of France was opened as far as Arles sur Tech in the Pyrénées in June 1898, a distance of 34 km. The line from Amélie-les-Bains to Arles sur Tech was closed after severe flood damage in October 1940. Trains to Amélie les Bains ceased in April 1972. There is still important freight traffic over the initial portion of the line between Elne and Le Boulou, The section from Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts to Céret has the status of "ligne non exploitée".

The poster features the old bridge of Mondony.
