Copenhagen trams, 1960s






A few more scenes of this standard gauge system which closed in 1972. From 1960 to 1966 the city had acquired 100 new Duewag-articulated cars as in the 4th pic above. These were sold to Alexandria in Egypt upon the cessation of the Copenhagen system. More Copenhagen pics here

The older trams do not give a fair representation. i visited copenhagen in 1967 and all the trams were of the duweg variety. I did'nt see a single example of the older trams in service during my visit.
