train track through the abandoned Glenwood power station, NYC

"Even a quick look at this abandoned location shows off its beautiful architecture that was designed by the same architects who created Grand Central Station.

"Glenwood operated between 1908 and 1968 and hasn’t been used for transportation since that time.

"It has been used for zombie and other movies." (bestamazingphotos.com)

Caption is completely wrong. This is the abandoned City Hall station of the New York City subway. It opened in 1904 but has been closed since 1945. The station is built on a loop and currently allows the #6 train to turn around at the south end of its run. Glenwood Power Station, also abandoned, was part of the New York Central railroad system and is located several miles north in Yonkers, New York.
